Action: Makes it unlawful to possess or land Chinook or wild coho in Marine Area 5. Maintains previously announced increased pink salmon daily limit.
Effective date: Aug. 26 through Sept. 30, 2023.
Species affected: Salmon.
Location: Marine Area 5.
Salmon Rules: No min. size. Daily limit two (2) plus two (2) additional pink salmon. Release Chinook, chum, and wild coho.
It is unlawful to land or possess Chinook or wild coho in Marine Area 5.
Kydaka Point Area (Waters south of a line from Kydaka Point westerly approximately four miles to Shipwreck Point): Closed.
Reason for action: This rule is necessary to enhance compliance and facilitate enforcement of fisheries with different retention rules in areas 4 and 5.
