Happy lowland lakes fishing opener, Washington anglers! Sophia and her dad Neil caught two of the bigger rainbow trout we’ve checked this morning at Martha Lake in Mill Creek. Great job and THANK YOU for showing off your catch!
If you’re fishing lowland lakes don’t forget about WDFW’s 2022 Trout Derby. Look for trout with a white tag attached to their dorsal fin, and if you catch one, visit WDFWderby.com to redeem one of over 800 prizes from 70+ participating businesses totaling more than $37,000! No entrance fee or registration required, just a valid Washington fishing license. The #WDFWTroutDerby runs from April 23 through October 31 this year. Good luck!
